A luxurious velvet-soft powder with high-frost metallic finish. Smooths on: adds buffed-up highlights to cheeks, or an overall ultra-deluxe polish to the face.
Make up is about creating effect with awesome tools such as M.A.C. Mineralize Skinfinish Gold Deposit Powder. MAC Makeup makes one of the best skin finish powders. The powder is a velvety bronze that highlights and contours areas of the face. What I love the most about this product is the versatile use of the color and application. Imagine needing to carry just a few items with you to the beach or the morning after club revive. The Mineralize Skinfinish is that product you toss in with your mascara and creamy blush tint. This doubles as a bronzer, highlighter, eye shadow, and sun-kissed all over powder. The velvety texture makes application almost effortless.
I prefer to use the No. 182 Buffer Brush by M.A.C. for loose cheek and high plane areas, and my Sephora Professional Series No 10 Crease Brush.
When I want to go for that sun-kissed look, I start with my normal face routine and apply a tinted moisturizer and primer. I use the buffer brush and swirl lightly, tapping off any excess, then apply to my high temple areas and along my jaw line. I do the bridge of my nose and just below my chin trying to bring light to the high plane areas of my face to look slightly tanned but not exaggerated. Using my crease brush I apply a thin dusting to the crease parts of my eyelids and just below my brow line. The goal is to look natural with a hint of that “sun-kissed” look. I finished my look with Smashbox Lash DNA Mascara in “Jet Black“, M.A.C. “Honour” Powder Blush, and Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in “Lovely Lips“.
The versatility of this color also has me completely sold on the benefits of this product. I have used this product on multiple skin tones and continue to see amazing results. For a make-up artist, this product goes on light and adds the hint of shimmer without looking caked on or overly tanned. The “skinfinish” is just that: glides on like a second skin. It is a staple in my bag and I think for most women who enjoy contouring or sporting an “au naturel” look, this product is a great tool.
